The first filming location for Goshen was in the remote depths of the Copper Canyons in Mexico. The Tarahumara people were documented because epidemiological research shows they are devoid of the top 3 modern diseases: type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. The Tarahumara's ability to prevent certain diseases is believed to be a direct result of their ancient diet and their active lifestyle. In March 2013, we explored the diet practices of the Tarahumara -- from heirloom seed saving and meal preparation, to food preservation and communal dining -- and their overall way of life. Here is a teaser of the video footage we shot!
