DONATE TO GOSHENWHO ARE WE?
Hi, we are Dana Richardson & Sarah Zentz, co-founders of DANA & SARAH FILMS, an independent film production company based in Big Sur, CA. For 5 years, we have produced and directed award winning independent documentaries that present vital perspectives rarely seen in mainstream media. BACK TO EDEN (2011) tells the story of an organic gardener and his revolutionary approach to growing food. The film continues to receive critical-acclaim and has garnered the interest of 2 million viewers in 209 countries. RADICAL JEWELRY MAKEOVER (2009) follows an international community jewelry mining and recycling project which is still traversing the globe. Our mission is to ignite positive social change by empowering people with sustainable solutions through film. WHY ARE WE MAKING GOSHEN? GOSHEN is a powerful exploration of the Tarahumara, a light-footed running tribe, who are striving to maintain their ancient culture against all odds. They are skilled subsistence farmers, renowned for their incredible long distance running endurance and prevention of modern chronic diseases. For centuries, the Tarahumara have found a safe place of refuge in the remote depths of Mexico’s Copper Canyons. Recently, drought and famine have threatened the Tarahumara’s ability to sustain their indigenous diet and physically active lifestyle. GOSHEN takes you on a journey in the huarache-clad footsteps of these endurance athletes, highlighting the health benefits of safeguarding their way of life. Probing and persuasive, GOSHEN will inspire you to take part in preserving the native seeds and running traditions of the Tarahumara. HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The production of GOSHEN is 100% complete. Therefore, the funds we raise will go towards our budget for Distribution.
